2012 Fund Raising Drive
The FIPPOA Public Health & Safety Committee is pleased to report to you on the ongoing effort to control the spread of Lyme Disease in our community.
REPORT FROM THE COMMITTEE
The FIPPOA Board of Directors has authorized funding beyond the amount dedicated to the Lyme Disease Control Program to subsidize rodent control in the Pines. Please consider increasing your donation this year to help cover the cost of our rodent control program.
Protecting Our Community's Health
Last year was the twentieth consecutive year of our highly successful program. Two applications of Damminix™ were made to properties in our community, with over 95% of property owners participating. Years of scientific studies in the Pines have shown that Damminix™ application results in up to a 10-fold reduction in the disease-causing tick population. As a consequence your overall risk in contracting Lyme disease is reduced.
Ours is one of the lowest cost programs in the country. Renegotiation of contracts in recent years has led to significant reductions in the program cost.
This is a community-supported program thanks to your generous donations. (Click on Donate to view the list of 2008 Donors.)
CONTRIBUTE NOW
Please contribute now and please donate generously. The first Damminix™ application is scheduled in April 2012.
